No.10 - Prospect Cottage
Prospect Cottage on the shingle beach at Dungeness was the home of the legendary film maker, designer and gay rights activist Derek Jarman.
His little house, now protected by a trust, has been immortalised many times but this is the RugsyLugsy version! Each one is unique and carries its own number.
They are handcrafted from reclaimed wood and set on a hand painted background made from a Victorian floorboard. We’ve used driftwood and reclaimed nails to reproduce the famous sculpture garden and finished the scene with pebbles, sand and moss.
There are reclaimed nails fashioned into hooks for hanging keys, lanyards, dog leads or even long necklaces! We’ve also added brass coloured mirror plates for hanging.
The technical bit:
Height 36cm
Width 22.5cm
Depth 12cm
4 hooks made from reclaimed nails
